Last Updated: August 11, 2026

SupportLane (“SupportLane,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information that we collect and process.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal information in connection with our website, communications, business operations, and managed IT, consulting, technical support, remote administration, cybersecurity, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

SupportLane is established in the State of Nevada, United States and provides Services to customers in the United States and the United Kingdom. Depending on the circumstances, SupportLane may process personal information as a controller or as a processor/service provider.

When we determine why and how personal information is processed, such as information concerning website visitors, business contacts, prospective customers, customers, vendors, applicants, or our own personnel, we generally act as the controller or business responsible for that information.

When we process personal information contained in a customer’s systems, devices, networks, accounts, support tickets, logs, applications, or other customer data solely for the purpose of providing managed IT or related Services on the customer’s behalf, the customer generally determines the purposes and means of the processing and SupportLane may act as a processor or service provider.

Where we act solely as a processor or service provider, privacy requests relating to personal information contained in customer-controlled data may need to be directed to the applicable customer. We will provide reasonable assistance as required by applicable contractual and legal obligations.

Service and Maintenance Communications

We may use customer contact information to communicate about managed IT and support services, including device maintenance, tune-ups, device health checks, software updates, security, and scheduled maintenance reminders. For enrolled or supported devices, maintenance reminders may generally be sent every three to four months, although the timing may vary depending on the device or service. Customers may opt out of optional maintenance reminders at any time by replying to the applicable email or by contacting SupportLane. Opting out of optional maintenance reminders will not prevent SupportLane from sending communications necessary to provide services or administer an account, including important account, billing, security, or active support communications.

4. UK Lawful Bases for Processing

Where the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”) applies, and SupportLane acts as a controller, we process personal information using one or more lawful bases, depending on the circumstances.

These may include:

Performance of a Contract — where processing is necessary to perform a contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Legitimate Interests — where processing is necessary for our legitimate business interests or those of a third party and those interests are not overridden by applicable rights and interests of the individual. These interests may include providing and improving our Services, maintaining customer relationships, securing systems and networks, preventing fraud, and operating our business.

Legal Obligation — where processing is necessary for us to comply with an applicable legal or regulatory obligation.

Consent — where consent is the appropriate lawful basis, and you have provided consent to the processing.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent as permitted by applicable law. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing undertaken before consent was withdrawn.

Where SupportLane processes personal information solely as a processor on behalf of a customer, the customer is generally responsible for determining the appropriate lawful basis for that processing.

5. How We Share Personal Information

We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to:

  • our employees and authorized personnel who require access for legitimate business purposes;

  • hosting, cloud, software, communications, cybersecurity, payment, CRM, helpdesk, remote-management, and other technology providers;

  • contractors, consultants, and other service providers supporting our business or Services;

  • professional advisers, including attorneys, accountants, auditors, and insurers;

  • customers where information is processed in connection with Services provided to them;

  • government authorities, regulators, courts, law enforcement agencies, or other parties where disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law; and

  • parties involved in an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar corporate transaction.

Where required, we use contractual or other appropriate safeguards with service providers that process personal information on our behalf.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect our rights, systems, customers, personnel, property, or the safety of others.

6. Sale of Personal Information

SupportLane does not sell personal information for monetary consideration as part of its ordinary business operations.

Certain U.S. privacy laws define terms such as “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising differently. Where an applicable privacy law gives an eligible individual the right to opt out of a legally defined sale, sharing, or similar processing activity, we will provide and honor the applicable rights as required by law.

7. Systems Used to Process Personal Information

Depending on the Services and business activity involved, personal information may be processed through:

  • servers, storage systems, networks, and network connections;

  • customer relationship management systems (CRM);

  • helpdesk and support systems;

  • remote monitoring, management, and access systems;

  • cybersecurity and security-monitoring systems;

  • communications systems;

  • email and instant messaging systems;

  • marketing systems;

  • billing and accounting systems;

  • backup and disaster-recovery systems;

  • telephone and voicemail systems; and

  • internal and Internet-based business applications.

8. International Processing and Data Transfers

SupportLane is established in the United States and provides its Services from the United States.

Personal information relating to individuals outside the United States, including individuals in the United Kingdom, may therefore be transferred to, accessed from, processed in, or stored in the United States or other countries in which our authorized service providers operate.

Privacy and data protection laws in these countries may differ from the laws of your country.

Where applicable UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer of personal information, we will use an appropriate transfer mechanism or other lawful safeguard as required by applicable law.

Where SupportLane processes personal information on behalf of a UK customer, applicable international transfer requirements may also be addressed through an applicable Data Processing Agreement or other contractual arrangements.

9. Data Security

We maintain reasonable and appropriate administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, acquisition, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse, or destruction.

Depending on the nature of the information and Services, safeguards may include access controls, authentication measures, encryption, network protections, security monitoring, backups, and restrictions on personnel access.

No Internet transmission, computer system, network, or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or subsequently lawfully processed.

The appropriate retention period may depend on:

  • the nature and sensitivity of the information;

  • the purposes for which it is processed;

  • the duration of our relationship with the customer or individual;

  • contractual obligations;

  • security and business-continuity requirements;

  • applicable statutes of limitation;

  • legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements; and

  • the need to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

When personal information is no longer required, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it in accordance with our applicable policies and obligations.

Customer data processed on behalf of a customer may be retained and deleted according to the applicable customer agreement, Data Processing Agreement, backup practices, legal requirements, and customer instructions.

11. Privacy Rights

Privacy rights vary depending on where you live and the laws applicable to SupportLane’s processing of your personal information.

United Kingdom

Where UK data protection law applies to our processing of your personal information, you may have the following rights, subject to applicable conditions and exemptions:

Right of Access
You may request confirmation as to whether we process personal information concerning you and request access to applicable personal information.

Right to Rectification
You may request correction of inaccurate personal information or completion of incomplete personal information.

Right to Erasure
You may request deletion of personal information in certain circumstances. This right is not absolute, and we may retain information where permitted or required by applicable law.

Right to Restrict Processing
You may request that processing of your personal information be restricted in certain circumstances.

Right to Data Portability
Where applicable, you may request certain personal information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and may have the right to have that information transmitted to another controller.

Right to Object
You may have the right to object to certain processing, including certain processing based on legitimate interests and processing for direct marketing purposes.

Right to Withdraw Consent
Where we rely upon consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing undertaken before consent was withdrawn.

Rights Relating to Automated Decision-Making
You may have rights concerning certain decisions based solely on automated processing where those decisions have legal or similarly significant effects.

SupportLane does not generally use solely automated decision-making to make decisions about individuals that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

These rights are not absolute and may be limited or subject to exemptions under applicable law.

12. Exercising Your UK Data Protection Rights

You may submit an applicable privacy or data protection request by contacting us using the information in the “Contact Us” section below.

We will respond to valid requests without undue delay and within the period required by applicable law.

We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity, locate the relevant records, or clarify your request.

Where permitted by applicable law, the response period may be extended. If an extension applies, we will provide any notice required by applicable law.

If SupportLane processes the relevant personal information solely on behalf of one of our customers, we may refer your request to that customer or assist that customer with responding to the request, as appropriate.

13. UK Data Protection Complaints

If you believe that SupportLane has processed your personal information in a manner that infringes applicable UK data protection law, you may submit a complaint to us using the contact information below.

Where required by applicable UK data protection law, we will acknowledge receipt of a qualifying data protection complaint within thirty (30) days, take appropriate steps to investigate the complaint without undue delay, keep you appropriately informed regarding its progress, and communicate the outcome without undue delay.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (“ICO”).

14. United States Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states may have privacy rights under applicable state privacy laws.

Depending upon your state of residence, the nature of the information, your relationship with SupportLane, and whether the applicable law applies to SupportLane, these rights may include the ability to request:

  • access to certain personal information;

  • correction of certain personal information;

  • deletion of certain personal information;

  • a copy of certain personal information; and

  • opt-out from certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or other processing where applicable.

Privacy rights under U.S. state laws vary and are subject to applicable definitions, thresholds, exceptions, and exemptions.

We will respond to eligible and verified privacy requests as required by applicable law.

Nevada Residents

Nevada law may provide eligible Nevada consumers with certain rights concerning covered information collected through websites or online services, including, where applicable, the ability to submit a verified request directing an operator not to make a sale of covered information as that term is defined under Nevada law.

SupportLane does not currently sell covered information for monetary consideration as part of its ordinary business operations.

For purposes of applicable Nevada privacy law, eligible verified privacy requests, including applicable requests not to sell covered information, may be submitted to our designated request address:

Email: help@supportlane.com

We will verify and respond to eligible requests within the time periods required by applicable Nevada law.

15. Marketing Communications

Where permitted by applicable law, we may use business contact information to communicate with current or prospective customers about SupportLane Services, products, solutions, events, or other information that we believe may be relevant.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the communication or by contacting us.

Where applicable law provides a right to object to direct marketing, we will honor that objection.

Opting out of marketing communications does not prevent us from sending communications necessary for an existing customer or business relationship, including service, account, security, billing, or support communications.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 16 through our website for the purpose of providing Services to them.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information directly to us inappropriately, please contact us so that we can review the circumstances and take appropriate action.

This provision does not prevent SupportLane from processing information concerning minors where such information exists within customer-controlled data that we process on behalf of a business customer and in accordance with that customer’s instructions.
